How it works
Each semester, the university awards the Honor Scholarship to the student with the highest GPA in each program. It covers the full tuition for the next semester. The winners receive their certificates at a ceremony with the university’s leading professors and administrators.
How I study
I’ve always put understanding before memorizing procedures. It may sound contradictory, but I rarely took notes in class. I preferred taking pictures of the board and recording audio or video, so I could focus on understanding the content, asking questions and discussing topics the lesson didn’t cover.
Later, during independent study, I transcribed everything into my notebook. Going through the material a second time is what made the core of each topic stick. I also read the guides and book excerpts before every theory lesson, so the initial conceptual barrier didn’t hit as hard.
What it made possible
It gave me more confidence, helped my parents financially, and earned me recognition from professors and classmates across the program. It also pushed me to aim higher: getting the top grade on exams and delivering homework and labs at the highest quality I could. Since then, that standard has become part of how I approach everything, whether personal, academic or professional.
